Privacy policy
We take privacy seriously and only process personal data where it is necessary, for example when you send us an enquiry. Here are the key points. If you have questions, or want us to delete data about you, you are welcome to contact us.

Who is responsible?
Kraftpiper.no is owned and operated by Hytorc Norge AS (org. no. 981 372 018), Kanalvegen 6, 4033 Stavanger. Hytorc Norge AS is the data controller for the personal data processed through this website. You can contact us at service@hytorc.no or +47 51 71 54 00.
Personal data we process and what it is used for
We only process the information you give us yourself, for example when you send an enquiry through the cart or the “Draw your own socket” form, or when you contact us by phone or email. This may include:
- name or company name and contact person
- email address and phone number
- delivery address, if you ask for delivery
- required delivery time and any preferred date, and whether you will collect the goods yourself
- your message, the products (with quantities) in your cart, and any dimensions, drawing or attachment you send
- which language and which page of the website you sent the enquiry from
We use the information to:
- handle your enquiry and send a quote with price and delivery time
- order and deliver goods, if relevant
- send an invoice, if relevant
- communicate with you
- test and improve the systems we use
We only collect information that is necessary for the purpose, and use it to contact you. The legal basis is that you ask us for a quote before a possible agreement (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in answering customer enquiries (art. 6(1)(f)).
The cart. The products you add to your cart are stored only locally in your own browser, so that they follow you between pages. Nothing is sent to us until you press “Send enquiry”.
Drawing (PDF). The dimension sketch you create in “Draw your own socket” is generated in your own browser. It is only sent to us if you submit the enquiry.
Disclosure of personal data
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with other companies for marketing. We may only share your data in the following cases:
- With third parties, when an order includes goods supplied by a third party (for example the manufacturer of special sockets). We then share only what is necessary, usually dimensions and drawings, not personal data.
- With a carrier, if you choose delivery: name, delivery address and phone number, so the goods can be delivered.
- With providers that perform tasks on our behalf and on our instructions (data processors). See “Where is your data stored?” below.
- With public authorities when required by law, a court decision or a legally binding decision.
Where is your data stored?
Enquiries you send through the website are received by Netlify, Inc. (USA), which hosts the website and the forms on our behalf (data processor), and are forwarded to us by email. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU standard contractual clauses. Netlify may also record your IP address and technical information in server logs for operation and security. We do not use these to identify you.
With us, the data is stored in our internal data systems, where we take the necessary security precautions and only give access to staff with a genuine need. Email is handled by our domain and email provider.
We keep enquiries and email correspondence for as long as necessary to follow up the enquiry and the customer relationship. Enquiries that do not lead to an agreement are normally deleted after 24 months. Data that forms part of vouchers and accounts is kept for as long as the Norwegian Accounting Act requires (normally five years).
Cookies and tracking
We take your privacy seriously and avoid using or embedding services that track your behaviour online. The website uses no cookies and no third-party scripts, such as Google Analytics, social media plugins or external fonts. For that reason we do not show a consent banner.
The only thing the website stores on your device is the cart, in the browser’s local storage (localStorage). This is necessary for the cart to work, and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
Statistics
We do not currently collect visitor statistics on kraftpiper.no. If we later introduce a statistics tool, we will update this policy.
Your rights
You can at any time ask for access to the data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You also have the right to restrict or object to the processing, and to receive your data in a common format (data portability). We cannot, however, delete data that the law requires us to keep. Contact us and we will reply within one month.
If you believe we process personal data in breach of the rules, you can lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no).
Security and changes
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We may update this policy when needed. The current version is always available on this page.
